WHITE Winter

Wow don't ask for a white winter unless you really want it. Actually I'm enjoying it very much. It has snowed everyday since Sunday. On Monday I was up in Reno and they had a white out. We actually drove by an accident on the freeway. An SUV flipped on the ice and slush. Probably going to fast and not paying attention. The weather channel said it will continue to snow until Tuesday next week, take two days off and then start snowing again. It's funny though, one of the two days it suppose to take a rest is my birthday and I love snow. At least I will be able to stalk the local snow sculpture guy. So I got some news yesterday. One of m fellow ya-ya's and friend of about 10 years is pregnant and she found out yesterday she's having a boy! Finally someone is having a boy. Hillary said she thinks they are thinking Wyatt for the name. I'm so excited for her. I also like that I can shop in a different section for a change. So this weekend the girls stayed up in Reno with their cousins. They always get spoiled up there. Well I guess I do to. On Friday night when we took the girls up there they made us lobster for dinner. It was so yummy. They took the girls to some big play place, Chuck E Cheese, movies and who knows where else. They have a mini dachshund also and the kids aren't taking care of him. So possibly they may give me the dog to give to my grandpa. Grandpa said he would take him. It think it would be a good decision. The kids won't help and they own 4 businesses so they don't have time. My grandpa is very lonely and it would keep him busy. On Monday I got my new couch delivered. I'm so happy. It's a sectional with gray suede. It also has a fold out sofa bed. I'm very happy with it. I also got new curtains so I feel like I have a new living room. My boss pointed something out to me today. My birthday is on Jan 31st and it's my 31st birthday. Now is that suppose to be a special year? I hope so. I think that I deserve a special year. Maybe meet a nice guy since George moved and we hardly talk anymore. But even if I don't that's OK. So am I now officially and adult? I will be in my 30's. My co-workers tease me and tell me I'm middle aged because I had such a hard time turning 30. And because I look younger than I am. It's funny, I have pictures of my girls up at work and yesterday a customer asked me if they were my sisters. It flattering, but it does get old hearing it. So on Friday hospice is having a memorial for grandma. Grandpa said he thinks it's for all the hospice patients that died last year, but the invitation said for grandma. So I'm leaving work early on Friday to go be with grandpa. He's been going to group counseling. Not sure how much it's helping him, but at least he's doing something.

LOVE your new couch! Your living room looks very peaceful and a fun place to be. You are so great to be there for your Grandpa. What a difficult time for him. A dog sure would help. Hope he decides to take it.
