Disneyland!!!!

OK so last night we got home from Disneyland. On Thursday we took the very looooong drive down to Anaheim. The good news is that for the 9 hrs we were in the cars the girls didn't fight once. On Friday we went to Disneyland. It had been 20 years since I had been there. Our first ride was the Jungle Cruise. We had the best guide, he was funny and even sang a belated birthday song to Celeste. Then we went to the Indiana Jones ride. What a great ride. Pirates and Haunted Mansion were just as I remembered. I know Pirates was changed a little but basically the same. I even saw Jack Sparrow walking around. He wouldn't stop long enough for a picture. :( Celeste more than anything wanted to go on Space Mountain and when she did she loved it. We wanted to do Jedi Training, but never got the chance. I was so bummed. We got to see the Pooh characters. I started running when I saw Eeyore. I also got to see Ariel during one of the parades. It's A Small World was closed so the girls didn't get to go on that one. I do have to say that I love the fast passes. I took my 4 yr old niece on the roller coaster in toon town. She loved it. My sister hates roller coasters so it's funny that her daughter likes them. On Saturday we went to California Adventure. When we first got there the High School Musical 2 parade started so the girls and I ran to it. The twins got to join in the parade and dance with them. It was so fun to watch them have so much fun. So that day got started off with a bang. Saturday was overcast and windy and the first ride we went on was the water rapid ride. There was a total of 15 of us, but my niece was to short so Melissa sat out with her. We got into 2 rafts. The first raft got out pretty dry and my raft got soaked. We made it all the way until the end then a geyser of water shoots up and attacked us. Ashley, Dean and I were so wet that it took almost all day to dry off. Well the others went back on the ride so Melissa could go and we stood at the bridge watching and hoping they would get wet and no such luck! Celeste went on all the big rides. She is so brave. She even went on rides I wouldn't go on. We went on the big roller coaster together, California screaming. That is now her favorite ride. While everyone went on Hollywood Tower of Terror, my sister and I took the kids that were scared or too small to the Muppet 3D theater. That was so great. I'm a big Muppet fan, so it was very exciting for me. We also saw a lot of the characters around that area. It is hard to get to them with all the other people. I really enjoyed the park. When we ate lunch we got to sit on the "Wharf". Soaring over California was just amazing. It was very fun and long days. My muscles ache from all the walking, but I loved watching the girls faces. I am glad to be home. Rob's family is already planning a trip to Disney world. I know that I need to post pictures, but my power supply is out on my home computer. I don't own a laptop so I have to wait until I get a new power supply. So hopefully I'll get that taken care of soon.

Well I've started the count down....

As of right now we have 1 week and 3 days until we jump into the rental van and drive the long hours to have 2 wonderful days at Disneyland!!!! I feel like I'm a little kid again. I haven't been in about 20 years, so it's almost like my first time again. I can't wait. Chloe told me that we could ride Dumbo together. And Celeste and I decided that we want to run to Space Mountain and ride that together first. Well this week Catie's piano teacher called me and told me she can't do classes for her anymore. She feels that Catie's heart isn't in it. She's not coming to class prepared and not practicing. There's only so much a mom can do then the rest is up to the kid. If she really wants it she'll prove it. Makayla has decided that she doesn't want to play soccer anymore. After 4 seasons, she wants to learn to play guitar. Celeste on the other hand is going to join the competition team for her cheer leading. She also is joining the school talent show with her friend. They spent all day today making up a dance with cheer and gymnastics moves. They are so cute. My niece just started practices for her first season on T-ball. She is so cute. When she stands in front of the T she hits the ground with her bat before she hits the ball. She is the youngest girl on the team, but I think she's going to do great. Of course my sister has been playing for at least 15 years. Well it's late and I should get some sleep so I can function at work. I don't want to give anyone the wrong amount of money. hehe
