Ok AMY tagged me. I have a short middle name so not much thinking here. Well here we go...Here are the rules:1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name).3. After you are tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and your answers.4. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and that they need to read your blog for details.)ANNA-Auntie- my little niece calls me that. She is like a 4th daughter to me. I love her so much.N- Nerdy- ok maybe not exactly a nerd, but a geek. I love Star Wars and video games. Out of all the females I know, I probably know more about computers.N-Nice- I think I'm a nice person. I would do anything for a friend or family member. I tend to go out of my way to show them that I care!*****Now to tag 3 peoples! I pick Jana, Linda, and Jennifer.******Well here I am on the first day of my 31st year! The girls woke me up with a song. My wonderful co workers gave me flowers (daisies my fave), a cake, card and balloon. Rob and Chad took me to lunch. I love my gaming buddies. My dad, Liz and grandpa took me to dinner. I got spoiled! Tomorrow is the twins 9th birthday. Wow time sure does fly.
Wow don't ask for a white winter unless you really want it. Actually I'm enjoying it very much. It has snowed everyday since Sunday. On Monday I was up in Reno and they had a white out. We actually drove by an accident on the freeway. An SUV flipped on the ice and slush. Probably going to fast and not paying attention. The weather channel said it will continue to snow until Tuesday next week, take two days off and then start snowing again. It's funny though, one of the two days it suppose to take a rest is my birthday and I love snow. At least I will be able to stalk the local snow sculpture guy. So I got some news yesterday. One of m fellow ya-ya's and friend of about 10 years is pregnant and she found out yesterday she's having a boy! Finally someone is having a boy. Hillary said she thinks they are thinking Wyatt for the name. I'm so excited for her. I also like that I can shop in a different section for a change. So this weekend the girls stayed up in Reno with their cousins. They always get spoiled up there. Well I guess I do to. On Friday night when we took the girls up there they made us lobster for dinner. It was so yummy. They took the girls to some big play place, Chuck E Cheese, movies and who knows where else. They have a mini dachshund also and the kids aren't taking care of him. So possibly they may give me the dog to give to my grandpa. Grandpa said he would take him. It think it would be a good decision. The kids won't help and they own 4 businesses so they don't have time. My grandpa is very lonely and it would keep him busy. On Monday I got my new couch delivered. I'm so happy. It's a sectional with gray suede. It also has a fold out sofa bed. I'm very happy with it. I also got new curtains so I feel like I have a new living room. My boss pointed something out to me today. My birthday is on Jan 31st and it's my 31st birthday. Now is that suppose to be a special year? I hope so. I think that I deserve a special year. Maybe meet a nice guy since George moved and we hardly talk anymore. But even if I don't that's OK. So am I now officially and adult? I will be in my 30's. My co-workers tease me and tell me I'm middle aged because I had such a hard time turning 30. And because I look younger than I am. It's funny, I have pictures of my girls up at work and yesterday a customer asked me if they were my sisters. It flattering, but it does get old hearing it. So on Friday hospice is having a memorial for grandma. Grandpa said he thinks it's for all the hospice patients that died last year, but the invitation said for grandma. So I'm leaving work early on Friday to go be with grandpa. He's been going to group counseling. Not sure how much it's helping him, but at least he's doing something.
So the local news around here is that Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is here. They are in Stagecoach. Stagecoach is about an hour from my house and 15 mins from my sisters house. Actually the house is down the street from where I got Toby. So anyway the guy that they are doing this for is a minister. He runs a church out or his house and a youth group out of his garage. I thought how great until I talked to my sister. For those who don't know me I'm very opinionated. The lady who babysits my niece knows the guy. She told my sister that when her babysitters husband died the minister told her" that's what he gets for leaving m church" Then his daughter had a child that has a trachea. He told her that it was because she had a child out of wed-lock. What kind of person says things like that. And this man is suppose to be preaching the word of God. Doesn't it say in the bible that we are not to judge our neighbor. It's God's job to do that. I really makes me angry that someone like him is getting such a reward. There are plenty of single parents working full time jobs or multiple jobs to raise their kids. They don't expect a lot they just want to live and make their kids happy. Why aren't they getting rewarded. Arg! Sorry it just irritates me. Anyways today I'm taking Makayla to get some blood work done. They are doing allergy testing on her. I'm hoping that maybe it will help her asthma. This weekend the girls are going to go stay with their cousins. Then on Sunday my sister is going to us up in Reno and We are taking them to Build a Bear. She getting the twins one for their birthday, My niece told me that I'm her best friend and that I could help her build one. She's so funny.
Well here is the latest from our local snow sculptor. He is so amazing. I believe its a bison.
OK so last night Rob's Uncle called. We are going to attempt a Disneyland trip again!!! I'm so excited. I was bummed that we had to cancel Thanksgiving, but I needed to be with my family. I don't think I would have enjoyed it. Now we can go a have a good time and know that maybe grandma helped make it happen. We are planning for April. Which will be good for Celeste since that's her birthday month. I want to try and go during the week so it's a little less crowded. Rob's uncle offered to pay for the hotel and the admission for the girls. That is going to help a lot. Woooo Hoooo! So today is the day I change my diet. The Dr. told me to lose weight and I will. I don't believe in "diets". A diet is what you eat everyday. It's not what you eat. So everyone, everyday is on a diet or they aren't eating. So you have to change your diet and the way you think. My friend and co-worker is signing up at the gym today. So starting Wednesday we are going to get up at 6 am and go workout then go home, get ready for work and go to work. I figure that going while the girls sleep is the easiest. After work there is always something, homework, dinner, piano, cheer, soccer, etc. Well we got our snow. We got about 6 inches, but at my house i got more. Poor Toby could barely walk in it. I'll have to post pictures later.
Well they have predictied a huge storm. We even have a blizzard warning. We never get blizzard warnings. It's been pouring down rain all day. Since around 5 am so now we are starting to flood. I just hope that it turns to snow soon so that we don't flood. We had a bad flood in Jan of 1997. They had to close down so many streets and hwys. We are also suppose to get up to 60 mph winds. Anyways, I went to the Dr. yesterday and I do have high blood pressure. He put me on some meds, told me to exercise, and lose weight. I'm bummed, but it is something I can fix. The crazy thing is I dropped off my perscription and when I went back to pick it up, it was free. I have no idea why. I'm curious to see what happens next month. Well this weekend the girls are with Rob. I'm not sure what i'll do. It all depends on the storm.
Well it looks like we finally got to go sledding. It was so pretty driving through, seeing all the snow. The girls all had fun. The twins where a little scared at first, but once we got going they got into it. New Years was fun. Celeste stayed over at her bff's. The twins and I stayed at Robs and Hillarys. We played games, talked, drank. At 12 we toasted the new year gave everyone hugs and kisses and yelled out the front door. Tiffany, Peyton and Loretta were there too. It was a small get together, but that's how we usually do it. Today I went to visit grandma. It's still very hard, but I can't not do it. Celeste still can't do it. She tried today but said she still isn't ready. I told her to take as long as she needs. Well tomorrow it's off to work after about a week and a half. I'm actually looking forward to it too. I missed my co-workers.
