Thankful For.....

Well it's that time of year where we all sit down with our family and friends and discuss what we are thankful for. This year my mom, sister, and niece are coming over to my house. I will be the one doing the cooking. So here is my list.
I am thankful for:
~the fact that I made it through this year. I can't wait to start another one with hopes that it will be better.
~my family. No matter what they are always there for me. The greatest thing is that I don't even have to tell them I need them, they just seem to know.
~my friends. My real life friends and online friends. They have really been there for me through all my stuff this last year.
~my wonderful co-workers. They truly are my second family. I wouldn't have made it this far without them.
~my great job. Not only do I love my job, but I work for a great company. While all these banks are having troubles we are making profit.
~my puppy. Toby has sat with me at my loneliness times and kept me company. He truly loves me unconditionally.
~that I finally got the chance to take my girls to Disneyland. It was such a great time for us to share together.
~and finally and most importantly my girls. No one can make you feel more loved than your kids. They make me smile.
I know there's more, but this my list.

I miss you!
So here is the best woman I've ever known. Tomorrow is one year since she passed. I really can't believe that it's gone by so fast. There has been so much that she should have been a part of. She'll never she the pictures from the girls first trip to Disneyland. The is one thing that I remember is going to Disneyland with my grandparents. She was always the first person that I wanted to show the birthday cakes and costumes to. She was always so proud of me. One of the reasons I enjoyed making everything was because I knew how excited she would be. She missed Celeste's first dance. I know that she is in heaven looking down on us, but it's not the same. Maybe I'm selfish to miss her so much and want her around. I know she lived a full and very loved life and wouldn't have changed a thing. I just hope that she is up there helping to guide me in the direction I need to go. I know that I need her. I just wanted to make sure to pay tribute to a wonderful woman and best grandma in the world. In the picture above she is holding me at about 11 months old. I was her first grandchild. I love you grandma!Sunday, November 09, 2008
