Update on my life.

About a week before Makayla went into the hospital I got a new car. I traded in the 4-runner for a Ford Focus. I just love it. I've always liked cars over suv's and trucks. It gets much better gas mileage. Some time that same week I started to have a break down. I took myself off my meds and so much was going on. The worst part is that Makayla hadn't even gotten sick yet. Anyways the girls at work told me to leave and go do something for myself. So I went home changed my clothes and went for a drive. I went to Reno, then up Mt Rose hwy through Incline Village all the way to South Lake. I went to my favorite waterfall, but believe it or not it was all dried up. Can you believe it. The scenery was still pretty. This a picture of the viking castle at Emerald Bay. Needless to say that on Friday when I got the call that Makayla had to go to the ER I wasn't doing to well to start out. But we made it through. All the time I spent at home with her gave me time to work on the costumes. I'm on the last one. We also just finished up the ATC swap that my SJ buddies and I were doing. I got to hostess it so I got to see all of the cards first. I'll be mailing them out on Monday. I'll also take pictures and post soon. We will be starting a new swap for Christmas. Just as I was getting excited at all the leaves changing colors we got snow yesterday and today. I was going to drive out to Hope Valley and take some pictures, but not with the snow. This was my first weekend without the girls in about a month. Hopefully the next weekend they are with Rob the weather will be nicer to take pictures.

My girls

So along with everything else that has gone on this past month, both of the twins had to get glasses. They look so cute. Celeste has now informed me that the board in class is blurry so guess who's next?

Makayla update

Well here is Makayla when she was in the hospital. She was there for a total of 4 days. When she was finally released Rob took care of her at home for a day and a half then I took Thursday and Friday off. It was some very long days. She was on 8 different meds and had to have a breathing treatment every 3 hours. On that Friday when I took her to the Dr. she got cleared to go back to school and had the breathing treatments lessened so she could go. After another week the Dr. finally gave her the OK that she was better. So now she's still on 6 meds, but only 5 more days left of the steroid. We have so much equipment for her I feel like a medical facility. She has been so good about all of this. She remembers her meds on her own (of course she knows not to take them without me there). She goes in about 2 weeks to see an allergy specialist. They have determined that her asthma is allergy provoked. So of course they will run tests on her. The tests they ran in the hospital show that she is allergic to dogs, cats, and wheat. The previous one showed dogs, cats, grass, and trees. They are saying I have to get rid of Toby. I'm not sure what is going to happen. Rob has offered to take him if need be. It's possible we could take him back after a year or two, if the allergy meds work. She's so upset about the dog, but we haven't made a decision yet.
