Our sister thing! It's been awhile, but hey we all get busy. So I wanted make sure that I got on here and asked everyone to keep my grandpa in their thoughts. He just started his radiation treatments last week. Also on Sunday he was having chest pains and my dad and Liz took him to the hospital. They had him stay over night to keep an eye on him. They never did figure out what was wrong. This is the same thing that happened last year. I wish they could figure it out.
I don't know if you all remember, but last year when we got a real good snow one of the local merchants made snow sculptures. Well last week we finally got some real snow.
Well I have more to update and more pictures to post, but I have to get the girls to get ready for bed. Hope to get on here again soon.
I've been so busy with work, the holidays, the girls winter break, and my weeks vacation. And now lucky me I'm sick. Just got back from the Dr. I'm on antibiotics and should be back to work tomorrow. So I guess I need to go back to December. On December 13th my friend Chad and I took the girls ice skating for their first time.Caitlyn enjoyed it the most. We had to force her to leave. At the very end I fell. But instead of falling on my butt I fell forward on my knees. Let me tell you bruising your kneecaps is not fun. They are still bruised almost a month later. After we finished ice skating we drove from Tahoe to Carson to celebrate my niece's 5th birthday.
She is getting so big, way to fast. The last week of school was so busy. The girls had their Christmas Concerts and some other after school stuff. I had the week of Christmas off of work. Rob kept the girls until Christmas Eve. It was a quiet and productive practical week. I even got to get my hair done. I got some red highlights put in. On Christmas Eve my dad and step mom came over to have a mini Christmas with us. Then on Christmas morning Rob came over and we opened our presents. It snowed so much on Christmas. It's been over 6 years since we've had a white Christmas. We got at least 4
inches. It was so beautiful. We didn't make it to Dayton to celebrate with my mom because I didn't feel comfortable enough to drive in it. It was like a blizzard outside. We were also suppose to go sledding the day after Christmas, but poor Makayla got sick. New Years was nice. I went to dinner with three of my closest friends then we went to Hill's house and hung out. My girls got to spend it with me and that was wonderful. My friend George came home from basic training for Christmas. He flew out New Years Day. I was so sad. I won't get to see him for 5 months. I think that's the main of my last month.
Well now it's 2009. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I'm not going to make any resolutions this year. I'm thinking that if I do something different then maybe the year will be different. I did have some fun last year, but there was to much bad. I'm hoping that we don't have any hospital visits this year. I need to get to updating the latest things that have happened. I finally got my laptop that I've wanted. So now I've got to get all my pictures and music moved over. I hope that everyone has a wonderful new year!

I am thankful for:
~the fact that I made it through this year. I can't wait to start another one with hopes that it will be better.
~my family. No matter what they are always there for me. The greatest thing is that I don't even have to tell them I need them, they just seem to know.
~my friends. My real life friends and online friends. They have really been there for me through all my stuff this last year.
~my wonderful co-workers. They truly are my second family. I wouldn't have made it this far without them.
~my great job. Not only do I love my job, but I work for a great company. While all these banks are having troubles we are making profit.
~my puppy. Toby has sat with me at my loneliness times and kept me company. He truly loves me unconditionally.
~that I finally got the chance to take my girls to Disneyland. It was such a great time for us to share together.
~and finally and most importantly my girls. No one can make you feel more loved than your kids. They make me smile.
I know there's more, but this my list.
So here is the best woman I've ever known. Tomorrow is one year since she passed. I really can't believe that it's gone by so fast. There has been so much that she should have been a part of. She'll never she the pictures from the girls first trip to Disneyland. The is one thing that I remember is going to Disneyland with my grandparents. She was always the first person that I wanted to show the birthday cakes and costumes to. She was always so proud of me. One of the reasons I enjoyed making everything was because I knew how excited she would be. She missed Celeste's first dance. I know that she is in heaven looking down on us, but it's not the same. Maybe I'm selfish to miss her so much and want her around. I know she lived a full and very loved life and wouldn't have changed a thing. I just hope that she is up there helping to guide me in the direction I need to go. I know that I need her. I just wanted to make sure to pay tribute to a wonderful woman and best grandma in the world. In the picture above she is holding me at about 11 months old. I was her first grandchild. I love you grandma!
